It's that time of year again where new and expecting parents descend upon Place Bonaventure for the Salon de Maternité Paternité. Products and services catering this ever growing demographic in
Montreal set up shop in the Salon and are available to answer questions and
offer on the spot comparison shopping. It's a great opportunity to see our fine city has to offer young families and to score hoards of free samples and coupons.
Participating for the first time year is Lianne Hogan and her fabulous line of baby essentials aptly named Baby Burrito. Not only are her products practical and easy to use the quality is superb and her fabric choices and designs are amazing. I had the pleasure of getting a sneak peak at her 2009 line, launched this past March, and I am completely infatuated with all of it. She has expanded this year and added some really cute sleep sacks and kimonos (my personal fave). Her prices are very reasonable albeit a bit more than you would spend at Wal Mart but these pieces are made of only high quality materials (no yucky chemicals thank you very much) and carefully inspected by Lianne herself. Did I mention that Baby Burrito is based in Montreal and all the products are made in Canada? Doesn't get much better than this friends.
So have at it! The Salon runs from today and closes it's doors on Sunday. Baby Burrito can be found at booth 404. Also for an opportunity to win a Organic Swaddling Blanket (great for the summer months) join Baby Burrito's Early Easter Hunt.
With my first pregnancy I couldn’t have been more excited to get into some of the super cute maternity styles. Even though I didn’t even need it yet I eagerly purchased tons of elastic topped pants and cute maternity tops to welcome my new emerging figure.
Fast-forward a couple of pregnancies and now the last thing I want is to step in to another boutique with a salesgirl asking me if I know how the sizing works. Here is where the Bella Band comes in; this simple piece of fabric can extend the life of your pre-pregnancy jeans by wearing it over unbuttoned clothes that are now just too tight. The Band will also keep your pants up when maternity clothes are a must but still a bit loose. Even post-partum you will find the Bella Band does an excellent job helping you get back into your old jeans and feeling like the old you. I can’t say more good things about this product, it looks and makes me feel great and during pregnancy, which means a lot. The Bella Band is available in selected boutiques around town and online visit ingridandisabel.com for shopping info.
