This Saturday, May 31st, why not drop by the Puces Pop Spring craft fair hosted by the Pop Montreal festival. Not only will you be able to find one-of-a-kind accessories, organic soaps and bodycare, toys, kids stuff, poster art and more but you will also be supporting Montreal’s best crafters and fashion designers. The event will be held at the St. Michel Church basement at 105 St. Viateur O from 11am to 8pm and will be followed by a night of Bingo with even more great prizes. Visit early and you can dine on a yummy Pancake brunch prepared by Church Volunteers. It’s an even not to miss!!

Hope to see you there! I’ll have a table selling super cute jewelry and hair accessories for girls of all ages… check out a few of my creations here (mind you I have tons of new stuff not listed).

Polkadot Papoose
on Wednesday, 28 May 2008

polkadotpapoose.jpg A good sling is a new moms best friend. Babies who are carried cry less and are more aware of their surroundings from a young age. Personally. I prefer the non-adjustable pouch variety since they are easy to use and can double as a blanket, change pad or even a bag when your hands are full. When I came across Polkadot Pappose a few months ago and was immediately smitten. The bold designs along with the sweet little “binkie” pocket caught my attention and I knew right away I wanted one. Tara Anne Harrup, the designer and mom of 2, has fabulous taste and knows what new moms are looking for. All her slings are created using vibrant, high quality designer fabrics, are reversible and easy to wash and wear. I highly recommend checking out her full collection of slings online here. Learn more about babywearing and the benefits here.

PS – a portion of every sale at Polkadot Papoose is donated to Project Rescue.

bellaband.jpgWith my first pregnancy I couldn’t have been more excited to get into some of the super cute maternity styles. Even though I didn’t even need it yet I eagerly purchased tons of elastic topped pants and cute maternity tops to welcome my new emerging figure.

Fast-forward a couple of pregnancies and now the last thing I want is to step in to another boutique with a salesgirl asking me if I know how the sizing works. Here is where the Bella Band comes in; this simple piece of fabric can extend the life of your pre-pregnancy jeans by wearing it over unbuttoned clothes that are now just too tight. The Band will also keep your pants up when maternity clothes are a must but still a bit loose. Even post-partum you will find the Bella Band does an excellent job helping you get back into your old jeans and feeling like the old you. I can’t say more good things about this product, it looks and makes me feel great and during pregnancy, which means a lot. The Bella Band is available in selected boutiques around town and online visit ingridandisabel.com for shopping info.
