Let’s face it, most of us are way too busy to create the Gingerbread house of our dreams but these little candy coated villages from Martha Stewart are a fun way to bring in the holidays no matter what your age. All you need is some icing sugar, graham crackers and some sweets to decorate.
Montreal just might be the coolest city for children and their parents this weekend with the arrival of the Pop Montreal festival. If you haven’t heard of it click here and get informed cause you are definitely missing out.
First of note is Puces Pop, Montreal’s largest do it yourself festival where hundreds of artists, crafters and indie record labels descend upon the St Michel Church basement (105 St Viateur O.) to sell their wares. BUT it doesn’t end there, there are workshops for kids including, tie dye, guitar decorating and making SuperHero masks. The activities are free so check out the schedule for times and dates.
Next is the super awesome Kids Pop! Purple Dance Party. This, my fellow parents, is something that I would like to see more of in this city. On October 4th from 1-6pm stop by the Metropolis (59 St Catherine E) for music, dancing and other surprises for the pint size crowd. There will be DJs karaoke and even the stylings of P-Star, a 13 year-old rapper, all at decibel level appropriate for little ears. Once again it’s free and snack, juice and beer, yes beer, will be served.
These bold flashcards will attract even your newborns attention. Wee Gallery
designs are beautiful, each picture has it’s own character. The
cards are sturdy and have rounded corners so babies are free to touch.
